They specialize in Largemouth Bass fishing, but it is not uncommon to hook into other fish. This lake is filled with numerous Bluegill, Crappie, Walleye, Channel Catfish, and Flathead Catfish. You never know what you might hook into! On the day of your trip, you're likely to use artificial lures, live bait, or cut bait. Rods, reels, and tackle are included by the charter.
Anglers Edge Guide Service is a kid-friendly charter service, so come and unplug for the day! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea for a boost of energy when needed!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 19' Bayliner Capri equipped with a live well and trolling motor with room for 2 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group if you don't already have one. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. A few items to bring include sunscreen, a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation.

Great fun out at Lake Ponderosa. Jamie is incredibly knowledgeable, easy going and will put you in the best areas to catch fish. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to fish with again!
Since the time we set the booking, Jamie was patient and understanding with my limitations, and made me feel welcome despite being from out of town. We woke up early to drive out, and were immediately hit by a thunder storm like I’ve never seen in CA. Jamie waited, watched, and stayed in constant contact the entire time, and we turned this sour day into a multi species adventure. 37 pound flathead, top water bass, and brim too! Jamie never stopped giving advice, untangling, and making us feel like we were doing a good job! Also, he is a professional wedding photographer so every fish we caught was also captured in a great photo!
This was our second trip with Anglers Edge and just like the first, it was outstanding. He put us on over 35 fish, worked hard the entire trip, and made the day fun from start to finish. Super knowledgeable, laid-back, and great with all skill levels. You can tell he loves what he does and really cares about giving his clients a great experience. Highly recommend him—already looking forward to the next trip!

For me fishing has always been a way of life. With over 30 years of fishing experience I have committed my life to gaining knowledge, experience, and skills in the art of fishing. With a Bachelors degree from Iowa State University with emphasis in Animal Ecology, to working for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources in Fisheries Management, to working with local government agencies surrounding fish research and aquaculture, I've learned valuable information on many aspects of fishing and the ecosystem they live in, that in turn helps you catch more fish! Fishing has brought me unmeasurable amount of happiness and here I wish to share my knowledge and experience with others. Enough with the credentials lets go catch some fish and have a great time!!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 10% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
