Book your next trip with Summer Bandit Charters and find out what keeps anglers coming back to Oak Harbor for more. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Paul can tell you all about the local fishery.
Walleye and more can be found in these waters, depending on when you go. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. You’re welcome to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You’ll be dropping lines from a 30’ Hewescraft pilothouse with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has downriggers and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, time to hit the water with Summer Bandit Charters!
