Depending on the season, you might hook into Sandusky Bay Channel Catfish, and whatever else takes the bait. You can expect to do some drifting, trolling, and bottom fishing using light tackle.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You’re welcome to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

Capt. Sam runs a 17’ Sylvan pontoon boat with a capacity for 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. Sam has rods and reels for you. Bait is also provided.

Before coming aboard, it will be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.
