Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Capt. Cody operates a 21’ Bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

5 Hour Trip – Crappie
Always flexible.
Our captain was well prepared. Our target fish was crappie. However the bite was not good in the weeks prior to our visit. Captain Cody called an audible and came prepared to go after catfish. We boated two person limit of 50 fish. Cody has solid well maintained equipment and strong knowledge of the lake of the pines fishery. He has a great sense of humor and with his background was able to keep or conversation active and informative.

Beautiful Day, Big Catches, and a Top-Notch Captain
Absolutely awesome trip! Cody was fantastic—super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience a blast. We caught a ton of fish and had a great time out on a beautiful lake. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better day. Highly recommend!
