Spend the day with Born To Winn Sportfishing and let them show you what makes the fishing in South Haven so memorable! With Captain Bud at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Chinook Salmon, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Coho Salmon, Brown Trout, and whatever else takes the bait.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! . Dont forget snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!

Capt. Bud operates a 31' Tiara Open that holds up to 6 passengers. It has state of the art fishing equipment and electronics to ensure a maximum catch for you and your friends and family. There is a bathroom on board for your convenience.

Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.

You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.

It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. No bananas/banana products allowed. This is a rule we take very seriously and we will dispose of them on the water should you bring them aboard.

Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Born To Winn Sportfishing!

Fantastic Trip Salmon Fishing Lake Michigan

We have fished mostly saltwater party boats and charters this was our first trip on Lake Michigan . The trip was perfect. Weather conditions and easy seas. While trolling isn’t my favorite I understand this is how it’s done. We nailed them. For a 4.5 hour trip the action was hot. We brought in 8 fish of various sizes and species , King , Coho, Lake And Steelhead and our arms were sore. It reminded me of the forearm pain of summer Bluefishing on Long Island. The sun peaked out at the end which slowed the action. So book a day it’s cloudy ( like ours was for the first three hours) and Capt Bud will put you on the fish. Be prepared for sore arms and trading off for others to pick up when you get tired because you will . 400 - 500 ft out with a large fish on is a workout. I highly recommend this boat, you will make memories and bring home plenty of fish. You will be Winning for sure. Thanks Captn Bud you are a great angler- oh and he ran the boat himself without a mate …..Go fishing everyone !!!!!

Bud and Ashley showed us a great time! Boat was clean and roomy and all of the equipment was in great condition. They worked extremely hard to get all 10 lines into the water as soon as possible and it paid off! We landed our first while they were still getting set up. All in all we brought in 3 Lake Trout, a Coho, and 6 Kings. Trip was definitely the highlight of the weekend. Highly recommend and we will definitely rebook when we are ready to go again!

We booked this charter during our family reunion. My brothers, sister, and our grandson joined us for a fun and busy morning. Captain Bud scarcely had the lines in the water when we had our first bite, followed moments later by the second! All in all we caught an even dozen good sized fish and several had sore arms and shoulders. The Captain and Mate were generous in answering our questions and engaging in conversation. My husband and I agreed in was one of the top 5 in a long list of charters over the past 40 years.

Great day on the water

Captain Bud was awesome! He had us on fish before all the lines were in the water and made sure the kids had a memorable experience. He's not only knowledgeable, but we had great conversation the whole trip. I would recommend him to anglers of all skill levels and we can't wait to spend a day with him again!

Great Trip. Caught almost every species of Salmon. Lake Trout 1 Steelhead 1 Coho 2 or 3 King(Chinook) 8 or 9 Lucky Prime Number 13 on the total! Used a Captain Bud's recipe on the fresh catch. Wonderful! Rate the experience 5 stars.
