Hooked on Lake Travis
Embark on an unforgettable fishing excursion with "Hooked on Lake Travis," led by Captain Jeff Mitchell, a seasoned water enthusiast with a lifelong passion for the open water. We provide fishing bookings for seasoned anglers or groups that have kids and beginners.
About Captain Jeff Mitchell: From his earliest days fishing the serene lakes and ponds of deep East Texas to deep sea fishing the Caribbean, Captain Jeff’s connection to the water has grown and evolved for over 40 years.
In 2012, Captain Jeff’s narrative brought him to the captivating waters of Lake Travis, where he joined a prominent boat club and began a new chapter in his boating and fishing experiences. Over the years from 2012 to 2018, he accumulated over 500 hours per year fishing and cruising the lake, honing his expertise and deepening his understanding of its unique aquatic environment.
Discovering a new dimension of fishing on Lake Travis, Captain Jeff pioneered his own innovative method, "Trolling on Travis," drawing inspiration from the acclaimed reality show, Wicked Tuna. This technique, tailored to the lake’s deeper waters, has proven to be remarkably successful, becoming his primary fishing method to this day. Depending on the season, you might hook into Largemouth Bass, Striped Bass, White Bass, Catfish, Sunfish, Garfish, Crappie, Smallmouth Bass, Carp, and who knows what else!
While the Captain provides everything you need to fish, he also encourages his guests to bring their own equipment.
When you book with Hooked on Lake Travis, you’ll benefit from Captain Jeff’s years of fishing experience, a boat that can navigate shallow coves and accommodate larger groups comfortably.
Included in rate: captain, gas, fishing rods, bait/lures, gear, cooler, ice, bimini shade
Not included: food, drinks, individual 1 day fishing license for adults, fish cleaning, captains gratuity, towels- if you’d like to swim.
