Wally J Fishing Charters is your premier charter for Walleye and Perch in the Au Gres area. Let Captain Jason Kaniszewski take you out for a great day on the water.
We specialize in Walleye during the early spring and summer months, and Perch during the late summer and early fall.
Trips with Wally J Fishing Charters are great for kids, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Kids are half price with a paying adult! (We can discuss kid's pricing when we talk prior to the charter.) If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, there's one on board. You're welcome to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You'll be welcome aboard a 22' Skeeter with a 350hp Yamaha that can carry up to 5 passengers. It is equipped with top of the line graphs, GPS, and trolling motors.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait will be provided if that's what the fish are requesting that day.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a Michigan fishing license for everyone age 16 and over in your group.

It's recommended to bring sunglasses, sunblock, and plenty of drinks. We do have a separate cooler for food, so the catch of the day isn't swimming around your sandwich! Rain gear and additional layers of clothing are always a good idea, too, because Mother Nature is crazy sometimes. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor, as well as glass bottles.

Captain Josh was friendly and welcoming. Within the first hour we were already pulling in nice-sized walleye! The action stayed steady the whole trip and hit the limit on walleye. Everything was well-organized, the boat was clean and comfortable. The half-day was perfect for us, plenty of fishing time to make it worthwhile. Will be booking with this captain again, without hesitation.
My wife and I had a terrific day fishing with Captain Jason. Fishing started out a little challenging to locate the walleye but the Captains knowledge and experience put us on them and we both caught our limit with really nice fish. We highly recommend Wally J and Captain Jason for a fun trip!
I took my two grandsons 9 and 7 - Captain Jason was an expert but also patient, kind and so helpful to the boys! We caught our max fish limit in just three hours—memories made and a great adventure to talk about for years to come. Worth every penny!
We had a wonderful day with captain Jason and caught a lot of walleye. New boat and excellent gear paired perfectly with captain Jason’s experience and fishing passion. He is super fun to spend a day on Lake Huron with kids!
Jason is an amazing captain and angler! He took time to answer all the questions our 11-year-old son had. He made sure our son had an amazing first time charter experience. We appreciated Jason’s kindness and wonderful personality. We loved this experience so much that we would like to make this a yearly trip. Would highly recommend.
