Backdraft Charter Fishing – Baltimore
Ready to go fishing on the Chesapeake Bay? Look no further than Backdraft Charter Fishing! With Captain Doug Collison at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Species like Striped Bass, Catfish, White Perch, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Cobia, Redfish, and more are in the cards, depending on conditions and season. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Your vessel for the day is a 46’ custom-built charter boat with space for 35 passengers. It has all the essentials. There’s a head (toilet) on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods, reels, tackle, and bait.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. First Mate works for tips and a 20% tip is customary.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish. Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, a hat, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We had 8 people, everyone caught fish and had a wonderful time. We are planning on using this captain and Backdraft boat again. First mate was friendly, personable and very helpful. Excellent time with plenty of fun.

Big shout out to Captain Doug and First Mate Kenny. We truly had a wonderful time fishing and catching plenty of fish. We caught Rock Fish, Catfish both (Channel & Blue), Perch, Spot, and Croaker. It was a great experience with some knowledgeable and experienced Anglers. Over 40 years between the two. My friends and I really enjoyed celebrating my Birthday on the Backdraft in the Chesapeake Bay. Highly recommend this fishing vessel and crew. 🤙🏼🎣🎂🛥️❤️
