Species like Amberjack, Black Drum, Bonito, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Gray Triggerfish, and more could be biting, depending on the time of year. During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Reel Steel Charters welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You're welcome to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be casting lines from a 28' Parker pilothouse with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

4 Hour Trip – Offshore (PM) on March 25, 2026 • 3 adults
Jason and Jennifer were amazing!!! My wife daughter and I set out to catch Vermilion Snapper and Red Grouper to keep and cook. Thats exactly what we got and more. Caught 2 red grouper. One had to be thrown back was under the 20inch regulation. The other was 20 inches. At least 10 trigger fish were caught, we kept one. The Vermilion Snapper were HITTING but were under the regulation. The wife caught some real exotic fish that Captain Jason has never seen. 2 hrs into the 4hr trip our 12 year old daughter got sea sick which stopped the fishing. But didnt stop the fun Captain Jason ane Jennifer spotted dolphins swimming near shore and our fishing trip turned into a dolphin tour. Great experience. The customer service, fishing, boat and experience were 5 stars. Will definitely be back during Red Snapper Season.

Amazing trip

The captain and his wife were awesome! Our group had 2 adults and 4 kids. We caught a lot of fish and the kids had a blast! Would recommend this charter to anyone! We bought around 200 fish overall and walked away with 55 keepers. Thank you so much for the awesome experience!

And Jason and Jennifer were very pleasant--the kind of folks who are great to fish with and would be great to hang out with off the water. We caught several fish and were grateful for Capt. Captain Jason and mate Jen put us on fish right away. We wore our arms out. Beeliners galore. Just a couple short of a 5 man limit. You really can't beat it for a 4 hour trip. Great trip for up to 4 people comfortably
