XQJP+9C7 Boquerón, El Combate, 00622, Puerto Rico

Spend the day with Simply Caught Charters and get hooked on fishing in El Combate! Your guide for the day is Captain Frank, offering years of professional experience.

Species like Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Caribbean Queen Snapper, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Swordfish, and more can be found in these waters, depending on when you go. Depending on the fish you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Simply Caught Charters welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

Capt. Frank will bring you aboard a 26 foot Regulator center console with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

It’s always wise to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.

Simply Caught Charters will make it easy for you to go fishing in El Combate. So, how about booking that trip?

Capt. Frank has been fishing professionally for 30 years. Frank started out as a mate on 6 pack boats in 1994 in the Outer Banks of NC at the age of 14. From there he worked on numerous boats in the area in which we ran charters, fished tournaments, and commercial fished. In 2008 he formed Up-Close Outfitters and ran fishing charters and commercial fished. In 2017 he sold Up-Close and formed Simply Caught Seafood and Charters still in NC. He grew this business to a well oiled machine serving over 50 restaurants while catching his own seafood and taking hundreds of clients fishing every year. In 2022 Frank moved his family to Puerto Rico. He has reopened Simply Caught in PR and is continuing fishing everyday with charters or seafood oriented. "The alure of the ocean and fishing is what motivates me to get up early every morning, even though I'm not a morning person. Attention to detail in Marlin, Sword, and Giant Tuna fishing is the key to success ! " Frank "
