Hoping to catch some fish in Hampton? Then Central NH Guides has a trip with your name on it! Captain Jeffrey will be your guide, offering years of angling experience.
Striped Bass, Haddock, Thresher Shark, Bluefin Tuna, Mako Shark, Cod, Atlantic Mackerel, Lobster, Pollock, Bluefish, Porbeagle Shark, and more can be found in these waters, depending on the season. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Jeffrey also offers kite fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there’s bowfishing.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty stomach!
Your vessel for the day is a 35’ Duffy sportfishing boat with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Jeffrey will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work. Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Central NH Guides!
