UnWind Charters II 

We run a 24 ft Carolina Skiff DIX powered by a 2020 Suzuki 140 HP with a sight tower. Designed to get into the backwaters of the Carolinas, she is perfectly equipped to navigate the Pamlico Sound.

Captain Morgan was born and raised on Hatteras Island. She went to NC State University where she double majored in Marine Science with a concentration in Biological Oceanography and Natural Resources with a concentration in Marine and Coastal Environments.

Morgan is commissioning into the U.S. Coast Guard through the Direct Commission Environmental Management program and will go to training at the CGA in December 2024. She is excited to share her passion for the marine environment with everyone!

Having grown up in Virginia Beach and living on Hatteras island for 28 years, First Mate Nicole Fairbanks jokes that she has salt water in her veins. Originally, she operated a scuba business with a boat which she dive mastered. The Fairbanks family bought the skiff in 2003. She has taken many boat rides in the Pamlico sound over the last 25 years as a mom and captain.
