Silver & Gold Sport Fishing
If you're going to cast a line in Newcastle, look no further than Silver & Gold Sport Fishing.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Atlantic Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Lake Trout, Brown Trout, and whatever else takes the bait.
On these trips, it's common to troll.
Families making a day of it will be glad that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest, ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your trip begins aboard a 23' Princecraft Aluminum fishing boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Capt. Lloyd will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't forget to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed.

Pro's: caught my first Salmon, able to communicate with Captain before trip, small boat experience, Lloyd was reliable with time/fish catch. CON'S: No tutorial given by Lloyd, no explanation of setting up a rod or how to use it or given option to use it prior to catch, no explanation of what the plan was (bait, equipment, fish etc) unless we asked. Conversation forced rather than given. Can defo get a better experience (education/tutorial) but may have to pay more for it.

well sorry you felt that way. to be honest i had a very hard time understanding the scottish accent. my main focus was trying to get you the salmon you wanted in a 4 hr trip. its not alot of time to teach what im doing and get things done. one thing ive learned is you cant please everyone and the ones you reschedule your day to get them on the water before the winds started so they could have a chance at getting into salmon are your biggest critics. All good.
Everything was excellent great day had by all!

Newcastle, Ontario, Canada
I've been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod. I have always had a hunger for finding fish and figuring out what they want. I was guiding at a very young age in Northern Quebec and knew one day I would have my own business entertaining clients on the water. I spend lots of time staying on top of new methods and also working on my own.
