Apocalypse Guide Service is here to show you the stunning waters of Winchester Bay. With Captain Thomas at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Black Rockfish, Rockfish, Halibut, Albacore Tuna, Crab, Lingcod, and more could be biting if you cast your line at the right time of year.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don’t forget to bring snacks to keep ‘em happy!
Your boat for the day is a 23’ Hewescraft Sportfishing boat with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials.
You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. (Please ask before bringing any of your own fishing supplies).
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or your local sporting goods store. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don’t leave home without bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation.

Fishing as awesome. It was my dad's first salmon trip and I was glad to see him enjoy the experience. Captain Thomas did an amazing job getting us into some salmon. I would definitely book another trip.

8 Hour Trip – Salmon Fishing
Coho on!
I took my wife on her first ever vessel fishing trip for her birthday to experience the wild salmon run on the Umpqua River. She and I had the very best time with Mark and crew at Apocalypse Charters . They were gentlemen and would say that it was very well put together to get on the bite. There were many other boats that were not celebrating like our group, we had landed the biggest Coho of the boats season :) Thanks Apocalypse Charters, we hope to see you again someday soon!!

Would 100% recommend the apocalypse and captain Tom if you are thinking about taking the family for some fishing. Captain Tom and his deckhand were great! Very knowledgeable and very friendly, we had a great time. We were on the fish almost instantly and limited out within 3 hours. Will definitely book again.

Communication was excellent prior and during the trip. Captain was very tenacious and courteous. We limited on some species and fell short on others, the experience was great. I encourage others to opt for the crab you won't be disappointed. We would definitely book with this guide again for future trips.
