This is the only boat in Maui equipped with an OMNI sonar surround system, giving you a serious advantage when it comes to locating fish.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Shortbill Spearfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, and whatever else is biting. We're seasoned professionals when it comes to catching marlin, with the experience and skill to consistently put you on these powerful, trophy fish.You'll target your catch primarily by trolling, or by using more specialized techniques depending on conditions.
You'll be welcome aboard a 47' Cabo Flybridge Sportfisher with room for up to 6 passengers. The boat comes fully equipped with a tuna tower, outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There are two heads on board for your convenience, and you'll find custom rods, reels, tackle, and lures ready to go. Live bait is available as well—just ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be on board to assist throughout the trip, and it's customary to tip 15–25% to show your appreciation. Please note that this trip is not suitable for children. We are heavy tackle professionals. Before purchasing a valid fishing license, you should contact the captain directly for guidance on obtaining the proper license before your trip.
Guests are welcome to bring whatever food and drinks they'd like for the day. It's always a good idea to pack bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen, but please be aware that Sun Bum brand and spray sunscreen are not allowed on the boat. Alcohol is permitted in moderation; however, hard liquor and glass bottles should be avoided.

Captain Jeff runs a serious billfish program, and that’s exactly why we booked him. The boat is immaculate and rigged right, the spread is set with intention, and nothing aboard is there without purpose. Jeff is salty in the best sense — he’s not there to entertain you, he’s there to give you a real shot at the most demanding fish in the ocean. He’s also got one of the best mates I’ve been blessed to be around. Chris has more fish knowledge in his pinky then I do in my whole body and it’s obvious — the rigging, the way he reads the water, and a constant smile. He never stopped working; Chris made a long day a good one. Just a genuinely good human. We had zero knock downs but that’s the deal with this kind of fishing, and it was our choice going in. Jeff and Chris did everything right; it just wasn’t anyone’s day, and no boat on the water got tight. If you’re looking to just bend a rod on something, book a different boat. If you know what you’re signing up for, Piper is a superb boat and very able crew.
This was my first sport fishing trip. With Captain Jeffs knowledge of the local waters he was able to get us hooked up on couple of spearfish. The captain and crew were friendly and helpful in instructing us about the boat and gear. The boat is beautiful with plenty space for everyone on-deck or in the cabin. We were given excellent instruction on what to expect and the proper technic to be used while fighting these magnificent fish. On my next trip to Maui I will be booking another trip with Piper Sportfishing. Thank You for a great trip.
Unfortunately, we didnt get a catch but man, did the Captian try. We could tell these guys were serious and wanted to get a catch more than anyone. Great boat, Jeff and Chris were solid and were actively adjusting the lines, looking out and doing everything possible to make it happen for us. Unfortunately, we didnt get it, but thats the way i goes sometimes. We are definitely going to book this Boat and crew again.

My husband and I went on The Piper a couple days ago and we are still coming down from the high of catching our dream fish! Captain Jeff definitely knows what he’s doing with all his decades of experience. His co-captain Chris was incredible! Talk about hard worker giving 150% to make our experience unbelievable! The boat is a dream boat too! We both caught a striped marlin each! We can’t wait to book this trip again.

Jeff and Chris took us out for the 3/4 day trip and it did not disappoint! The boat and the gear were absolutely immaculate and they made it a point to teach us how to use the gear they provide and answered all of our questions. We certainly learned a lot from them and walked away with a memory we’ll never forget!

You can cancel or modify your booking up to 7 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.
