Grant-Valkaria has a fish with your name on it, so let Get The Gaff! help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Nathan can tell you all about them.

Fishing around here will often see you targeting Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Red Grouper, Atlantic Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and more, depending on the time of year.

Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself fishing with heavy tackle, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks to keep up those energy levels!

Your vessel for the day is a 25’ Bertram Cuddy cabin that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials.

Capt. Nathan will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it’s customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.

Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that daydream into a reality, with Captain Nathan and Get The Gaff!

Captain Nathan and First Mate Jamie were the real deal. What a great experience. Nothing like pulling off Dixie Highway and walking down to the dock with the boat ready to go. We got to experience it all on the water. We trolled for Kings, fished a ship wreck in the Gulf Stream, and bottom fished the reefs. We hooked in to fish all three ways. The highlights were at the Ship Wreck where we landed 50+ lb Amberjacks (plural) and a 6’ Shark. These guys worked their butts off the entire time we were on the boat. I can’t recommend these guys enough if you want a Real Florida offshore experience. Captain and First Mate were a wealth of knowledge regarding the Space Coast and its fishing history. Hope to do it again real soon.

These guys are dedicated to getting you on some fish. Very polite and always helpful, they will do everything for you. I was super impressed when Nathan said he’d been out scuba diving the spot we were fishing the week before in order to scout the area. We got on some big fish (Goliath Grouper) immediately but too big to bring in. We caught Kingfish and Beeliner Snapper. It was a great day overall and would recommend these guys for your next trip.
