Depending on the length of your charter, you could be fishing the beautiful and productive fishing grounds of Aransas Bay, Redfish Bay,  Mud Island, Estes Flats, Copano Bay, St. Charles Bay, Corpus Christi Bay and the Beautiful Upper Laguna Madre, Flats, and Back Lakes for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum and more. You could be fishing with live bait, dead bait, topwater lures, or soft plastics, depending on the conditions, your preferences, and your target species.

You will be fishing aboard Capt. James’ 2014 Majek Illusion, a boat that is very well suited for fishing the area’s shallow waters. Accommodating up to five anglers, the boat is equipped with Garmin electronics, a wireless trolling motor and an anchoring system to make your inshore fishing trip as productive and enjoyable as possible.

Please remember to bring a valid Texas fishing license with a saltwater stamp with you on your trip. It is recommended for children under 13 to come with their own lifejacket as the type 1 jackets supplied on board can be quite bulky on younger kids.

Capt. James Sabo grew up in Ohio, fishing the Grand River and Lake Erie for Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, and Steelhead. At the age of 18 he moved to Texas, where he started fishing the flats for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and Flounder. He has over 20 years fishing experience, with 17 years experience fishing the flats. He specializes in fishing with artificial lures or fly fishing, although he can happily accommodate anglers who prefer to fish with live or dead bait.
