Make an adventure out of your next trip in Port St. Joe and go fishing with Reel Florida Adventures Simmons Bayou FL. With Captain Brian at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.

These waters are known for Flounder, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Redfish, Scallop, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Spotted Seatrout, Tripletail, and more – with any luck, you’ll have tight lines in no time. During the trip you might be spinning, popping, drifting, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Reel Florida Adventures SBFL is a child-friendly charter service, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

Capt. Brian runs a 24’ Carolina Skiff bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

It’s recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

For more information about fishing with Reel Florida Adventures SBFL, feel free to send Capt. Brian a message down below.

Captain Brian was great!
Half Day Trip (AM) on June 12, 20252 adults
We had a bit of a slow start because somebody raided Brian’s bait traps and stole all his bait. He didn’t let that stop us though We went straight out and caught some with a cast net. We headed to his fishing spots and got on fish right away. We caught several trout , catfish, small sharks, flounder, spade fish, lady fish and a grouper. It was a great day on the water and will definitely go back out with him when we are able to come back.

Need more stars!
Apalachicola River Trip on May 28, 20253 adults
If I could give this trip more than 5 stars I would. The day started with weather in the area, and the Captain made sure weather was safe and we were comfortable before heading out. After we arrived at first location, we had some hookups and the first of a few smiles. Later we went to a different area ( ask the captain where when you book your trip). The smiles and fish catching continued there and never ended until we were off the boat! If you are looking to go fish while in the area, book this guide! A great man running a great business and you will have a great time! Thank you Captain Brian!

Captain Brian was very good to us. Had 3 adults and my 9 year old son on a 1/2 day trip. We shared lots of stories back and forth like we’d known each other for years. His boat has a ton of floor space making it easy for everyone to get hooked up. Would recommend to anyone looking for a pleasurable fishing trip. Just swapping stories and hooking into some bucket list fish made everyone’s day.

Half Day Trip (AM) on May 20, 20255 adults
We can’t recommend highly enough for you to contact Reel Florida Adventures!! Captain Brian was absolutely amazing. We really feel like we lucked out in finding him. He definitely knows where to go, where not to go and how to find the fish. It took us three hours to find the right spot, but boy did we ever and started reeling in the flounder captain. Brian is a native to the area knows the history of the bay and has lots of connections. Don’t hesitate to book your next fishing trip with Captain Brian..

Great Day in the Bay
Half Day Trip (AM) on July 8, 20255 adults
Captain Brian was awesome!! We didn’t catch a whole boat-load of fish but that didn’t matter. He made the trip fun and enjoyable for me and my boys despite the lack of bites. He was knowledgeable about the area and the few fish we did manage to catch. Will definitely book with him again when we are back in the area.
