If you’re thinking about booking a trout fishing trip on Lake Taneycomo, do it—and ask for Captain Jeff! From the moment we stepped onto his beautiful, comfortable boat, we knew we were in for a great experience. The boat was clean, spacious, and made for a relaxing day on the water. Captain Jeff had everything ready to go—rods, bait, tackle, life jackets, water—you literally just show up and fish. What really impressed us was how well he knew the lake. We started in an area where he said we’d catch good numbers, and he was absolutely right. We caught trout after trout! Then he moved us to another spot and said, “We may catch fewer fish here, but they’ll be bigger.” Once again, he nailed it. The trout got noticeably larger. The most exciting moment came when I hooked what looked like about a 5-pound rainbow trout. It made an incredible jump completely out of the water right next to the boat before breaking the line. Everyone on the boat was yelling, “Oh my gosh!” Even though we lost it, it was one of those unforgettable moments that somehow made the trip even better. Then, right at the end of the trip, just when we were getting ready to head back, my father—who has Alzheimer’s—hooked into a beautiful 1½-pound trout. Seeing how excited he was made the entire trip extra special. That’s a memory our family will treasure forever. We caught a lot of fish, took tons of pictures, felt completely safe the entire time, and had an absolute blast from start to finish. Captain Jeff is knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and clearly loves what he does. Without a doubt, this was one of the best family memories we’ve ever made. We can’t recommend Captain Jeff highly enough, and we’ll definitely be back!

Our adventures started early with fog on the water and fishing poles prepped to immediately fish for trout. Boat was clean, stocked with water and plenty of fishing gear. Within the first few casts, the first fish was hooked and more were to come. After two different stops and methods , we caught the daily limit. Next day was more taxing, but again Captain Jeff found the trout schools and we again caught the limit. Went after Bass and found fish again. Would recommend Captain Jeff for your next adventure.

I had the opportunity to celebrate my birthday alongside my brother and dad on Table Rock Lake. It was an unforgettable day on the water as we caught and released more than 60 bass and 10 bluegill, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Special thanks to Jeff, who definitely knows the best fishing spots and helped make the day even more memorable.

best experience for me and my family. if you got kids that like to fish then this is the trip for you! I will not pick anyone else to put me and my family on a good set of fish.

For only booking a 2hr trip we got on our bass right away. Consistant bite with 2-3 double ups, also caught 3 other Tablerock offerings in bluegill, crappie and channel catfish. Didnt get the walleye that cut our line 4 times but maybe next time!

Captain Jeff is an awesome captain! We had 2 kids and he was so patient and took the time to share his expertise. His boat is beautiful and all equipment is well maintained. Our group caught about 30 gorgeous trout and will definitely be back soon!

Jeff was a wonderful guide. We caught our limit and had so much fun. When we were done, Jeff cleaned the fish, bagged it up and gave us cooking instructions. We had group of 5 and everyone caught fish. I would highly recommend!

Jeff was great on our fishing trip! We caught 58 fish! Thats right, 58! His boat was very nice and i loved how it was wider so we had plenty of room. He was very patient and we had a great day! I would highly recommend Jeff!

Cold front came in and it was mid-50s vs 90 the day before. Jeff worked hard and still got us on fish. Very kind and patient. He’s also a teacher. A professional fisherman and guide, Jeff knows what to do. Took my wife a two kids boy 12 and girl 9 and we learned a lot. Equipment was perfect. Boat was immaculate. I’ll be back. Jeff was super friendly and great guide. Talked through how the trout habitat and got us on fish. Limited out and are having trout for dinner. I would book with him again.
