If fishing in Point Pleasant Beach is on your bucket list, look no further than Rockfish Smartie Fishing Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Chris can tell you all about them.
Fishing around here will often see you targeting Striped Bass, Bluefish, Tautog, Black Seabass, Bluefin Tuna, and more, depending on the season. On the day of your trip you’re likely to drift and bottom fish using light tackle. Capt. Chris also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
You’re welcome to keep any fish you catch, assuming they’re legal to keep. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home to eat. Talk about bang for your buck!
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks to keep up those energy levels!
You’ll be fishing aboard a 27’ Sea Hunt center console with space for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Chris will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It’s recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now’s the time to experience fishing in Point Pleasant Beach for yourself, with Rockfish Smartie Fishing Charters!
