Dovetail Charters is your ticket to the stunning waters of Chokoloskee and the lower 10,000 Islands. With Captain Michael at the helm, you’re in knowledgeable and experienced hands.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Snook, Redfish, Black Grouper, Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, Permit, Flounder, Pompano, Tripletail, and who knows what else! For these species, you’re likely to drift and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Michael also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Capt. Michael operates a 22’ Pathfinder center console with room for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license. Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, time to hit the water with Dovetail Charters!
