Hi I'm Captain Rudy, a 4th Generation native of Apalachicola, born and raised here on these waters, fishing Apalachicola, St.George Island and St. Vincent Island. I've logged many hours on these waters, Apalachicola Bay and Estuary are my backyard!
There's no guarantee when you're fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Whiting, Tripletail, Pompano, Red Snapper and more if conditions are right. For these species, you're likely to anchor, bottom or top fish using light tackle or popping cork with jig, shrimp or live bait.
Families with kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to bring rub-on sun screen. No spray-on sun screen, may cause the fish not to bite. Ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Just bring the rub-on sun screen, snacks and drinks and you're all set.
You'll be welcome aboard a 24' Kenner center console with a capacity for 10 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are included. We can't always catch live bait, but always have fresh bait.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation.
