I started fishing with a spinning rod when I was around 4 years old and started fly fishing when I was roughly 13 from the Potomac river/occoquan in Northern Va to reheboth/bethany beach area in Delaware. I first came to the keys when I was around 16 of course I brought my fly rod with me for the trip with some research in hand to the species (bonefish,tarpon, permit, barracuda) as soon as we get settled into the place a run outside with the water in the backyard and started observing what I was getting into when a couple of tarpon started rolling right infront of the dock, quickly grabbing my fly rod it took 4 shots and was able to jump my first tarpon after that I was for sure hooked and decided the keys was gonna be my next home. I have been running my boat (Dolphin super skif lodge edition) since 2020 of November learning the fishery let alone navigating the waters.
