A Slice of Life Fishing
Hoping to go fishing in the Destin/Fort Walton/Panhandle Area? A Slice of Life Fishing is here to make it happen! With Captain John and first mate Nick at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
These waters are home to Red Snapper, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Vermilion Snapper, Amberjack, Spanish Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper, Wahoo, Gray Triggerfish, Great Barracuda, Blackfin Tuna, and more, depending on conditions. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Trips with A Slice of Life Fishing are great for kids, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! Don’t forget to bring snacks and cold beverages to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your boat for the day is a brand new 2024 32’ Cobia center console with twin Yamaha 300 engines that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a head on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
A couple items to bring include beverages and snacks, alcoholic beverages are allowed. Hats, sunblock and sunglasses are recommended.
