Around here the fishing is popular for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Catfish, Cobia, White Perch, Rockfish, Spanish Mackerel, Whiting, and more with any luck. During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Capt. Thomas Loch runs a 42’ Gene Travis Custom bay boat with capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods and reels are supplied for you as well as bait and lures.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 20% Mate Fee is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
It’s always wise to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

4 Hour Trip – Bottom Fishing (AM)
Amazing trip and will return
We had a great time. Nearly had a full load of people (can have up to six, we had five) and we all caught fish the entire time. Capt knew where to take us to make sure we got our moneys worth. We did the four hour bottom fishing trip and came home with enough for dinner for a week. Capt and first mate are great to chat with, made us feel comfortable and helped us out the entire time. Six stars of if I could. We will definitely be returning and hope to get out on the bay. Thanks again!

3 Hour Trip – Bottom Fishing (AM)
Learning experience and Caught 24 fish!
My son and I learned a lot fishing tricks including a tool to de hook fish from the hook and how to clean the fish so they are ready to eat. I will take this knowledge and share it with my son on future adventures on our own and when we come back to see this captain. He also let us borrow some tools so we could practice cleaning the fish. Great day!

4 Hour Trip – Bottom Fishing (PM)
Great day with family
Six of us went out for a four hour trip. Everything was great. Really nice boat, great help with important baiting and fish removal when necessary and patient with an 8 year old. Caught lots of fish too! It was what the family needed to have a fun day on beautiful water together during a difficult time for the family. Thank you.

Laid-Back Fishing Adventure — Highly Recommend!
Had a great time with Monika and Loch on Lochjaw Charters! The trip was super relaxing — we caught a good number of spots and a few croaker. It honestly felt like spending an afternoon with friends. Highly recommend as a fun and low-key date idea!
