LastCast invites you to experience the stunning waters of Hatteras. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Patrick knows them forwards and back.
These waters are known for Redfish, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Sheepshead, Cobia, Pompano, Flounder, King Mackerel (Kingfish), and more – with any luck, they’ll make your reel scream. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Patrick also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don’t forget to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your adventure begins aboard a 24’ KenCraft center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Wish I could rate the trip 10 stars!!!
Patrick took our group of 6 out, 4 adults & 2 children. Everyone caught fish and learned a lot. The coolest part was you could really tell Patrick cared about the experience for his customers. Even with the kids, he guided us along with patient hands and ensured everyone had a good time. The feeling was laid back and he took us to some great spots where we had some great action. Highly recommend his charter & I’ll be telling friends and family about it to try to get them on his boat. I hope we can make this a new yearly tradition for our future trips to the Outer Banks. Thank you Patrick for helping us make memories that we’ll talk about for years to come.

2 Hour Trip – Sunset Cruise/Fishing
Great captain, great trip
Capt Patrick gave my family the experience of a lifetime. Not only was he incredibly accommodating to our needs but the he really knows his stuff. He put us on fish right away. Ironically, the Last Cast of the evening resulted in me hooking into a 48" red drum and, with Patrick's expertise, we successfully landed and released it. All on 15# test! Captain Patrick masterfully managed the boat and the fish in the unbelievably rough waters of Hatteras Inlet! I could not have caught the biggest fish of my life without his help. You should 100% book this boat. I will again next year. Thanks again Patrick! I appreciate everything you did to make our vacation great!

Kids had a blast...
We took four kids aged 11 - 14 out with Captain Patrick for a half day morning trip. We went out and filled the cooler with limits of bluefish in about 30 minutes. It wasn't about what we caught, because the bluefish are pretty common. It was about the memories. These kids had non stop action. Thanks Captain Patrick for showing these kids a great time!

Fishing excursion
Patrick was very pleasant. We needed up catching 17 fish. All the same blue fish varying sizes which was cool. I would advise if you are not experienced let them know in hopes that they will be there to help you if needed. If you are doing the trip for finding clams and sand dollars don’t count on it. That disappointed me. Patrick drive the boat safe and gave us plenty of times to cast out although we had to stop and find other spots frequently as another time we drive for awhile and circled the same area. It was not a bad excursion and everyone had fun

Great April fishing!
Last Cast Fishing Trip My recent fishing trip with Last Cast was absolutely fantastic! It was an amazing experience filled with reeling in fish. Patrick, our guide, was exceptional – incredibly patient and helpful, especially for those newer to fishing. His knowledge of the local waters was impressive; he knew exactly where the fish were biting! We had a truly successful day, landing a ton of sheep's head.
