Come experience what Maryland's Chesapeake Bay has to offer! Hookset Guide Service is a light tackle charter operating in Southern Maryland.

The targeted species include, Striped Bass, Speckled Trout, Red Drum, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, and Cobia, throughout the year.
For these species you will be using light tackle, and all artificial lures, no trolling or bait fishing. All rods and tackle, lures and licensing are included.

The boat for your trip is a 25' C-Hawk center console. This vessel offers a smooth, dry ride, that can still navigate into shallow fishing spots and is a true fishing machine. The vessel has the best modern electronics to help to locate fish including, Humminbird Sonar, navigation and radar.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, drinks, and sunblock (non-spray). Also make sure you bring a great attitude to ensure you have a great day on the water.

Amazing day with Captain Jake

5 Hour Trip –Late Summer(AM) on October 11, 2025 • 4 adults

we had a fantastic Saturday morning trip with Captain jake. He put us on lots of rockfish and we were able to catch our first rockfish. I highly recommend Captain jake and can’t wait to go on future trips.

Rockfish ahead of the weather

5 Hour Trip – Spring/Summer on September 27, 2024 • 3 adults

Had a great day with Capt Jacob. We got on the water early, spent most of the morning throwing top waters to slot and over-slot rockfish. Landed several before heading back to the dock before the weather broke on us. A little rain, a little wind, lots of good times!

Great trip fishing for Rock Fish
