Make the most of your time in Key Largo and go fishing with Gotta Go Fishing Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain and Crew knows them forwards and back.
These waters are known for Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Hogfish, Cubera Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Gray Triggerfish, Wahoo, and more – with any luck, they’ll make your reel scream.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Your day begins aboard a 34’ Albemarle convertible that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Gotta Go Fishing Charters!
