Capt. Jonathan welcomes you aboard his 27' Conch center console boat, the Colossal Catch. It is rare to see boats of this size that can tackle offshore waters like this one. It has a synthetic/composite hull which means you'll be able to enjoy a dry ride offshore in full comfort.
Captain Jonathan's goal is simple – to make sure every angler on board has the best fishing experience of their life. He will teach you all the techniques you need to know to become an amazing angler, giving you the chance to see what it is like to be a boat owner.
You'll be catching live bait, switching between fishing techniques, and learning about the best areas to fish and techniques to use depending on the conditions. You will be using the same top of the line tackle the captain uses himself, with Penn reels and custom Blackfin rods all supplied on board.
Your trip will generally take place 3 to 9 miles offshore, although in very rough conditions it is also possible to explore the area's great inshore fishery for Snook, Redfish, Trout, and Tarpon. When fishing offshore, you could be trolling for species such as King Mackerel and Mahi Mahi, kite fishing for Sailfish, or bottom fishing for Snappers and Groupers.
Take the opportunity to fish with a knowledgeable captain who has lived and fished the area his whole life. He will give you a real hands-on offshore fishing experience.

Special 6 hour trip for Anthony King on July 15, 2023 • 2 adultsI reached out to Capt John to book a Goliath Grouper charter and possible eating fish. The trip started with us making bait and we quickly shifted gears to targeting some pelagics. It was close to triple-digit best with lack of current and Captain John pulled the plug and we shifted gears once more. We made bait again, this time boating a monster Cuda for bait to target Goliaths. Not long after that we were on out target species, my buddy and I were both fortunate to boat one each. Shortly after we targeted some snapper, but had a couple missed opportunities. Overall we had a great experience with Capt John and his deck and Harold. I would definitely recommend this crew and will be headed back myself in the near future.

6 hour Trip on March 1, 2018 • 2 adultsWe wanted to catch something, anything really. We sure did, in an epic way! We caught drum, bluefish, remora, spinner shark, bull sharks and blackfin sharks. Hooked into a 500lb bull shark. The sharks took the bait in just minutes. The most plentifull though was the Spanish Mackerel, there were millions of them running. You could catch them as fast as you could cast. Capt Jonathan is great to work with. He filleted our mackerel and we took it to the Twisted Tuna restaurant to end a perfect day. Collosal catch was above and beyond our expectation.

Great boat!! Great captain!! he got us picked up on time and into fish. caught my furst tuna and sail fish today. I would highly recommend. and definitely do it again. Captain was great with my youngest and my teenagers.
The cpitian worlwd with us and got us a trip last minute. We caught some fish and enjoyed ourselves. He was also bert patient with a very inquisitive 6 year old. i would recommend going out with him.

A fantastic morning on the water!! Captain Jonathan got us right out and set up quickly. Tuna were biting and multiple Mahi were reeled in. This was our first exposure to kite fishing— very cool! The highlight of our trip was the beautiful 81” Sailfish. An unforgettable experience! The Captain and crew were super knowledgeable, fun to chat with and had every detail covered. If your looking for a great day on the water the Colossal Catch is the only answer.
