Welcome to Marathon, Florida! You ready for some of the worlds best bluewater fishing? Come join seasoned captains Ross Corbett and Garrett Ross for some action packed fishing! They currently operate 2 fast and comfortable vessels to meet both your inshore and offshore needs. Both captains have a wide range of inshore and offshore knowledge and look forward to putting you on the fish.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Jack Crevalle, Yellowtail Snapper, Sailfish, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Cero Mackerel, Wahoo, Mutton Snapper, Blackfin Tuna, Cobia, and plenty more. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with American Angler Sportfishing are great for kids, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Don’t forget to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
You’ll step aboard a 25’ Sea Pro center console with space for 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and a hat. There will be bottled water on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
