Spend the day with Reel Life Charter and see what’s biting in Abu Dhabi! Your guide for the day is Captain Ali, which allows you to benefit from years of sportfishing experience.
There’s no guarantee when you’re fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Great Barracuda, Bonito, African Pompano Jack, Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Permit, Queenfish, Sharks, and more. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You’ll be fishing aboard a 38’ Ocean Boats sportfishing vessel with room for 8 passengers. It has a fighting chair, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods and reels are not included, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well. Live bait is included, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
