The Roman Coast
Our saltwater charter boat is moored at the Rome Marina in Ostia (the sea neighborhood of Rome), next the the Archaeological site. From the powerful monster Bluefin Tuna, to the fast False Albacore to the avid Bluefish, Sea Bass, Leerfish, Amberjack, Dentex, Grouper and much more at less than half an hour from the city centre and fifteen minutes from Fiumicino Airport (FCO).
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Bluefin Tuna, Atlantic Mackerel, Dentex, Amberjack, Bluefish, Squid, European Seabass, Leerfish (Garrick), and plenty more. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Fishing in Rome welcomes kids aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are never a bad idea to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 24’ walkaround that holds up to 3 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a chemical toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
Don’t leave home without sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Fishing in Rome!
