Inshore fishing trips target Redfish, Flounder, Speckled Trout, and Black Drum -perfect for anglers who love fishing the ICW and the backwaters in our area saltwater creeks, flats, and rivers. You'll also likely catch a wide range of other fish like Sheepshead, Bluefish, Seabass, etc…

For those seeking bigger game, choose his shark fishing charters, where you'll target sharks of 50+ pounds for a very exciting trip.

Nearshore fishing trips go out of Little River Inlet to the ocean, fishing from 0-10 miles out. Targeting Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Seabass, Cobia, etc…

All fishing gear, tackle, bait, and licenses are included.

It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), snacks, drinks, etc…. Cold bottled water will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Ask about the Lucky Life Jacket

INSHORE FISHING - 4 Hours Mid-Day on July 14, 2025 • 3 adults • 1 child

Talk about an adventure and a fish story that doesn't need any embellishments, because that is what we got with Captain Harvey. Our trip started with two older teens joking that the 12 yr old had to wear a life jacket due to boating laws, but the youngest took it with grace and carried on. We went out to catch whatever was biting and teaching the older boys how not to just feed the fish but to actually hook them and catch the fish. About 30 minutes into fishing the youngest hooked a massive fish. After about an hour of fighting, we discovered he hooked an estimated 6.5 foot 250 lbs nurse shark on tackle that was on 15 lb fishing line. Come to find out that all of the biggest fish Captain Harvey caught was by 12 year olds wearing that life jacket. Now the older boys want to go back out and wear that life jacket. If given the requirement or opportunity to wear the Lucky life jacket, I would recommend wearing it!

We booked a two-hour inshore fishing trip with Captain Harvey, and it was fantastic! Before the trip, his communication was excellent. He answered all our questions quickly and made sure we had everything we needed for a great experience. Once we were out on the water, we started fishing right away and caught fish within the first 5-10 minutes. Captain Harvey was super helpful with our youngest, making sure they had a chance to fish while my wife and I could also enjoy the experience. He was great with the kids, patiently answering all their questions. We had a wonderful time with Captain Harvey and Salty Dog Fishing and would definitely book again. Highly recommend!

Great day on the water!

Weather is unpredictable, but Captain Harvey is an expert in the area and made sure we found great spots and was able to get us there quickly and safely so our family time fishing was memorable and fun! We caught a variety of local fish and our experience was memorable. He provided all the equipment and bait with comfortable seating. If you’re looking for a family fishing experience with kids this is the one to book.

Great family fishing trip!

We had such a great time with Captain Harvey! I booked the trip as a surprise Fathers Day gift for my husband, and we brought our five year old along. Everyone caught multiple fish, my husband even caught a STINGRAY! It was such a great experience!
