Fishing With Local Experts welcomes you to the stunning waters of Miami Beach. With Captain Denis at the helm, you’ll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Fishing around here will often see you targeting Gag Grouper, Lobster, Bonito, Mahi Mahi, Crab, Hogfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Bonefish, Amberjack, Black Grouper, Great Barracuda, and more, depending on the time of year. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Kids are welcome, so get ‘em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You’re welcome to bring snacks – luckily, Capt. Denis will have some on board!
Your trip begins aboard a 28’ center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, all the essentials. You’ll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It’s recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks provided on board.
