Boo Ya Charters is one of the oldest charter companies in Key West. For over 30 years they have strived for excellence and worked hard to put their clients on quality fish daily. With Captain Michael at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Lemon Shark, Wahoo, Amberjack, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Blackfin Tuna, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Cobia, Black Grouper, Red Grouper, and plenty more. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Michael also offers kite fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites for a boost of energy when needed!
Capt. Michael operates a 32' SeaVee center console with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Boo Ya Charters!
