Make the most of your time in Scottsboro and go fishing with Bass Commanders Guide Service. Captain Gene will be your guide, giving you access to years of sportfishing experience.
You're likely to fish for Largemouth Bass, and more with any luck. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Don't forget to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
You'll be welcome aboard a 21' Phoenix bass boat that holds up to 2 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods and reels are furnished by Captain Gene. He will provide everything that you will need to catch your prize bass. The captain will furnish bait and lures as well.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
It's recommended to bring sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed.

6 Hour Trip
Great Time Fishing
We met just before sunup at the boat launch. Shortly after launch we were on fish. I like to use the guide to get their perspective of their lake. Each one has different techniques for that particular lake. Dofferent color preference, bait, and approach. Gene was no different and shared information willinglly. We discussed what works what doesn’t and more importantly why. We boated some quality fish, and had a good time doing it. By the end of the trip it was like two friends fishing. The way ot should be.

Perfect Lake Guntersville trip!
Capt Brooks was wonderful. He took us to some great spots where the fish were hitting like crazy and easy to set the hook so we could reel them in! We caught about 16 Bass between the 2 of us. It was a great day of fishing with some wonderful conversation and we can’t wait to do it again. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience! Gee Gee😉 and Jackson appreciated every minute of it!
