Make the most of your time in the U.P. and go fishing with Sand Point Charters. Having logged many years on the Lake Superior waters, Captain Brian will show you a good time and may tell you all about them.
The fish in these waters include Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Brown Trout, Coho Salmon, and more, depending on the season. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Capt. Brian welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks!
Capt. Brian operates a 30' KingFisher aluminum fishing boat with capacity for 6 passengers. It has downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed.

Brian is a great captain! We went out on Lake Superior and had an awesome time catching fish and being out on the water. We would book again with Sand Point Charters.

Early season fishing in cold water and cold air temperatures didn’t dampen the fishing bug in this young man with 2 species to show for it.
Beautiful scenery on Lake Superior near Keweenaw Point. Captain Brian let us stay our extra time to ensure a good catch. Very enjoyable trip.
I am lucky enough to get to go boating or fishing with Captain Brian every summer in the UP and it is always a good time. The views are spectacular, the boat is comfortable, and he knows where to find the fish! Highly recommend.
