Cayboss Charters
Book your next trip with Cayboss Charters and find out what the fishing in George Town is all about. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Mike knows them forwards and back.
These waters are known for Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Horse-eye Jack, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before 'Fish on!' Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
You'll be welcome aboard a 23' Wellcraft Fisherman center console with room for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Some essentials to bring are sunscreen (non-spray), snacks, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Starting with an easy pickup at Camana Bay, we were quickly fishing at the ledge. We explained that we're inexperienced with saltwater fishing and Captain Mike did a great job engaging my 13 year-old and explaining the strategies and techniques. Mike guided us through several fishing approaches and had success with several species. We enjoyed some very fresh blackfin tuna sashimi back at the hotel!

Captain Mike led a very professional charter on a choppy day. The wind was blowing, and the waves were rough but thankfully he took us to multiple reef locations. This gave us the best chance of engaging with multiple species of fish and marine life. He even set up some trolling rods on the way back in, we had a few hard hits, but nothing landed. We caught multiple fish, a nerf shark and even toyed with a barracuda for a while. Captain Mike made the best of the weather/wave situation and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We will be booking again next time we are in the Cayman Islands. Crossing our fingers for no wind this time! Sporty Day!!
Capt Mike was very courteous, knowledgeable and personable. He got us on fish despite challenging conditions with all the sargassum. He took us out deep sea and reef fishing. Fish weren't biting out at sea but we did catch a bunch of grunts in the reef. It was a beautiful day and calm seas. Would go back out with Capt Mike if we return. Highly recommend Capt Mike and Cayboss!
Mike was very good and knowledgeable on the fish .
Been fishing my whole life in the Cayman Islands for over 20 years.
