First Light Sportfishing
Book and adventure of a lifetime and enjoy the true raw beauty of the West Coast unfiltered.
Target some of the world's best fighting fish in the cold productive waters of the Pacific ocean. Fill your freezer with some of freshest seafood you can get your hands on. Afterwards enjoy many meals while sharing your unique stories!
'That's why we do what we do…'
Depending on the season, we target Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Lingcod, Rockfish, Halibut, Prawns and Crab. On these trips, it's common to troll and bottom fish using light to heavy tackle for an array of species. Fishing multiple species in a day trip. First Light also offers fly fishing for certain species
You'll step aboard a 24' Grady-White that holds up to 4 passengers. It has downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. All gear is supplied as wellas all fish will be gutted and gilled, ready to take in the round or up to the local processors to be vacuum sealed.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group that wishes to fish. Anglers will need to add a conservation stamp as well.
Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses and warm clothing. It's recommended despite the weather to pack for variable conditions. Waterproof pants and jacket are not a bad idea but can be provided If needed. As well as rubber boots.
Recommended you pack snacks/lunch but I do have a bbq for fair weather days. Hot lunches can be pre planned.
Feel free to contact Captain Conor Stookes with any questions or to check for availability

We had a great time with Captain Conor! We learned a lot about fishing in Ukee because of Conor’s great stories and knowledge. He was really respectful to the fish and his sustainable practice was inspirational. He made sure we had the best experience. We caught some great salmon and one horse mackerel and will come back again.
Family friendly trip. Connor was patient and instructive with the less experienced participants and we caught fish!
The salmons, the Halibut and the Rock fish were there. A perfect fishing trip with my wife, my son (16 year old) and Captain Conor Stookes. Captain Conor is super well organized and very friendly. We liked it so much we are going back with him in a couple of days.
