If you're ready to go fishing in Milos, we've got you covered with SeaLifeMilos Private Cruises Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Donet can tell you all about the local fishery.
Local species include Amberjack, Bonito, Fingermark Bream, Dentex, Mahi Mahi, Dusky Grouper, Little Tunny (False Albacore), and more with any luck. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Trips with SeaLifeMilos Private Cruises are child-friendly, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll find yourself aboard a 27' Scanner 800D Inflatable outboard boat that can carry up to 7 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, as well as lures.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks provided on board.

We had a wonderful adventure, despite it not being a great day for fishing.
In 2010, I moved from Athens to the island of Milos, and my life changed. Every day, I would set out from the port of Milos with my father-in-law—a seasoned fisherman and former sailor—who taught me the ways of the Cyclades, the Aegean Sea, and the art of predicting the weather through experience and natural signs. After three years, I bought my first boat and began leading fishing trips, mastering different fishing techniques. Over time, I developed a deep passion for jigs—exploring jigging, slow jigging, big game fishing, deep drop, eging, offshore casting, and Cast trolling. The sea is my home, and I can't be anything other than a true SEALOVER!
