These waters are known for Black Drum, Redfish, Speckled Trout, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself! On the day of your trip you're likely to fish for redfish,black drum,speckle trout
Capt. Joshua welcomes anglers of all ages including kids & pets so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! All bait,rods,tackle , water and life vests are supplied Feel free to bring your own snacks to keep their stamina going!
Your trip begins aboard a 22.6 foot majek m2 that holds up to 5 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. You'll find rods, bait, reels, and tackle waiting for you.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. (NO DRUGS ARE ALLOWED) Alcohol is allowed in moderation

Great morning on the water for Father's Day weekend!!!!!!
Morning guided trip on June 14, 2025 • 2 adults • 2 children
Met up with Captian Joshua for a morning 1/2 day trip and had a great experience! Captian Joshua was great with my 2 sons who are fairly new to fishing, and was also really helpful with my father and I who are experienced. The boat was well maintained and got us to the spots quickly. First cast caught a keeper black drum and we were catching reds all the way up until the end. Great time on the water getting that Texas Slam, thanks Captain Joshua!

Morning guided trip on March 1, 2025
Both times fishing with Captain Josh have been amazing trips! Got my limit both times for Black Drum, and had tons of catch and release action. I would say he definitely knows the waters he fishes, and makes a solid effort to put you on spots where the biting from the fish is insane! I haven't fished like this in a long time where your bait hits the water and it's immediately getting bites. He also explained how you can tell the difference between the bites of different species of fish out there. I thought that was an expert level tip and many times he would be able to accurately call which fish was on the line based on how it was taking the bait. Can't recommend enough!

Joshua was great- fishing was slow due to conditions but he worked hard and even stayed out an hour and a half longer than scheduled. my grandson caught his first redfish and the experience was really good. thanks, we’ll be back!!

My wife and I booked a trip with Captain Joshua McDonald. This was by far the BEST fishing charter we have ever experienced! Everything was perfect! Joshua was very polite, respectful, and is extremely knowledgeable about locating the fish and navigating the waters! I highly recommend this trip!!

Josh worked hard putting us on fish. Extremely windy day but maneuvered the boat well always making sure the fishing site were good and the ride was smooth. He even allowed our little dog on board. When we fish this area again, Josh is who we will call!!!
