fishing with DaFishHunterCharters. With Captain Vegeto at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands. Captian Vegeto has the 2nd largest striped bass landed in the state of NY Hudson River. This fish weighed in at 58.60lbs just shy of the NY state record.
These waters are known for MULTIPLE SPEICES OF FISH with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks!
You'll step aboard a 23' Commercial Grade Haul Sea OX walkaround cuddy cabin with room for 4 passengers but up to 6. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. All bait and tackle is included. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your Captain will provide rods and reels along with lures.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them.
Don't leave home without sunscreen, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed aboard however if abused the Captain has the right to bring you back to port on his discretion without a refund.

DaFishHunter Charter did not disappoint! Captain Nick and his First Mate Tiffany knew where the big stripe bass were and how to catch them. Our family had a great time! This trip is best for people who want to catch fish. Early spring temperatures on the Hudson River are chilly - dress warmly.

Captain was very experienced, friendly and worked extremely hard to make it a great experience. I would recommend and i would charter again in the future.

Took my two boys to go fishing with their dad in hopes of landing some big stripers. Fish would not cooperate. Captain Nick worked hard , got us on top of the fish, they were marking and jumping all around us. Hardest part of fishing is getting the fish to do what you want them to, but that’s what keeps you coming back. While we did not get the big stripers we were hoping for the opportunity was presented, we had a good probability of hooking up but the fish won that day. It was great day out on the Hudson , such a beautiful place to be, with my boys . Thanks captain Nick we will be back to get the big one!

You are 100 percent correct fish all around jumping and on the screen I did my hardest to get them to bite but the fish had other plans. It was a beautiful night on the river regardless.
