fishing with DaFishHunterCharters. With Captain Vegeto at the helm, you're in knowledgeable and experienced hands. Captian Vegeto has the 2nd largest striped bass landed in the state of NY Hudson River. This fish weighed in at 58.60lbs just shy of the NY state record.
These waters are known for Striped Bass, Black Drum, Bullhead, Carp, Catfish, Freshwater Drum, and more - with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks!
You'll step aboard a 23' Commercial Grade Haul Sea OX walkaround cuddy cabin with room for 4 passengers but up to 6. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. All bait and tackle is included. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your Captain will provide rods and reels along with lures.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them.
Don't leave home without sunscreen, bottled water, and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed aboard however if abused the Captain has the right to bring you back to port on his discretion without a refund.

3 Hour Fishing Trip (PM)
A Great day on the Hudson
Took my two boys to go fishing with their dad in hopes of landing some big stripers. Fish would not cooperate. Captain Nick worked hard , got us on top of the fish, they were marking and jumping all around us. Hardest part of fishing is getting the fish to do what you want them to, but that’s what keeps you coming back. While we did not get the big stripers we were hoping for the opportunity was presented, we had a good probability of hooking up but the fish won that day. It was great day out on the Hudson , such a beautiful place to be, with my boys . Thanks captain Nick we will be back to get the big one!

Super fun fishing trip!
We had a fantastic day fishing with Nick! We are visiting family from California and my son wanted to try fishing in the area. Nick did a great job showing my son good fishing spots and had a successful fishing trip. He was thrilled with catching cat fish and perch, both new for him. Nick was also great in teaching my nephews who haven’t fished before and both are now in love with fishing. Thanks again for a fun day and look forward to coming back again!

Great charter
Captain Nick is professional, very knowledgeable and has lots of experience. He makes the trip fun and interesting the whole time. I brought my young daughter out for her first real boat trip and even though she was very fussy and not cooperating for the first 45ish minutes he was understanding. If you want to have a fun and enjoyable fishing trip book Captain Nick for your next day out on the water.
