Double Mermaid Outdoors – S. Padre 

Spend the day with Double Mermaid Outdoors and find out what the fishing in South Padre Island is all about! Captain Glenn will be your guide, which allows you to benefit from years of sportfishing experience.

Local species include Flounder, Black Drum, Snook, Sheepshead, Jack Crevalle, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Ladyfish, Redfish, Mangrove Snapper, and more if conditions allow. Light tackle or fly fishing trips available.

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are permitted on board — bring your favorites to stay fueled throughout your trip!

You'll find yourself aboard a 24' Shallow Master Bay boat with space for up to 5 anglers.  For dolphin watches, Space X Rocket launches and fireworks cruises, up to 7 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Glenn has rods and reels for you, as well as lures.

Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group 16 and older. This information is usually available on the Texas Parks and Wildlife website, app, or at many service centers.  , or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

You can't go wrong when you bring sunblock, and polarized sunglasses. There will be bottled water and ice provided.  Feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks (no glass bottles).
