Kids are welcome, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are also a good idea!
Capt. Jaren will bring you aboard a 23' Grady-White sportfishing boat with room for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Jaren provided a first rate experience from initial co tact to last minute logistics to getting underway and finding walleye. this was the 3rd or 4th charter for my 7 yr old son and i and we will definitely be going with cap'n Jaren again. he was very accomodating of my son fielding questions and directing where necessary but also giving considerable lattitude for him to make the trip and the fishing his own. we caught the limit and once docked jaren nade quick work of the filleting and we were on our way.
