Mooching for salmon offers a more interactive experience, allowing customers to feel the excitement of actively hooking a fish. This technique involves casting out a line with a herring hooked to a leader and attached to a sinker. As the herring sinks and spins through the water, its movement mimics natural prey, drawing in the salmon and enticing them to bite.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!

We will be offering a prize (Free Afternoon Trip) for who catches the 
biggest 'kept' salmon for the year.
  The free trip can be redeemed the following year.

Your fishing machine for the day is a 21' Grady-White center console with room for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures and bait.

Keep in mind that salmon and lingcod may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
