Hoping to go fishing in Stuart? The Jig Is Up Charters has a trip with your name on it! With Captain David at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Wahoo, Mangrove Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Lane Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Blackfin Tuna, Gag Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Black Grouper, Red Grouper, and whatever else takes the bait.
During the trip you might be light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. David will do whatever he can to make sure your day is filled with exciting fish fights.
Trips with The Jig Is Up Charters are child-friendly, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to stay fueled throughout your trip!
Capt. David welcomes you aboard a 32' SeaCraft 32 center console with ample room for 6 passengers to fish comfortably and is equipped with outriggers for trolling. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you, along with lures and bait. Live bait is available, but catching it will be part of the trip. Live bait is sold on the water and available for the customer to purchase to ensure the most amount of time is spent catching the targeted species.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, sunscreen and possibly a hat. Bottled water is provided, but, you can bring any other drinks. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles and be aware that drinking in the sun can cause dehydration.

7 Hour Trip – Offshore
Awesome day with Captain Dave !!
Excellent Tuna and Dolphin Fishing Trip in Stuart Had an amazing day fishing with Captain Dave of the Jig is up! out of Stuart, Florida. We targeted tuna and dolphin (mahi-mahi) and absolutely crushed it! The captain knew exactly where to find the fish and we were into them consistently throughout the trip. He knew within 2 minutes of when we were going to get a hit!!! What made it great: • Captains local knowledge was spot-on • Steady action with multiple species • Well-maintained boat and quality tackle • Captain Dave was professional and helpful with techniques. This dude is legit!! The catch: • Multiple tuna landed 11 total (25 pounder was a huge fight) • Great dolphin action (2) & 2 Bonitas Overall: Highly recommend this charter for anyone looking for awesome offshore fishing in the Stuart area. Will definitely book again! Overall: awesome trip and we were literally sore and bruised from all the action !!

Bonita, sharks and a sail
Went out for a 5 hour charter and had a great time. We hooked 3 Bonita within 10 seconds of each other at our very first stop. It was awesome. Had a few fish get sharked. The coolest part was hooking into a sailfish, it jumped off but it was awesome to see it jumping up out of the water! Captain David was great to hang out with and was super knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!
