If fishing in Horseshoe Beach is on your bucket list, look no further than Captain RR Excursions. With Captain Richard at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
These waters are known for Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Scallop, Redfish, and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream.
You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Richard also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Capt. Richard welcomes children aboard, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll find yourself aboard a 24' Sylvan pontoon boat with space for 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
You can't go wrong when you bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen (non-spray). Bottled water and cooler with ice will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Captain RR Excursions!

Thank you William, it was a pleasure meeting you and taking you fishing.
I was born in South Fl, my father was a fisherman and on ocassion used to take me with him, i grew up on the water, and 23 years ago we moved to the big bend and have been fishing and scalloping in the flats out of Horseshoe and Stenhatchee, I love to see people catching fish and having a good time, I also work as a private yacht captain and safety is my 1st priority, I have traveled up and down the eastern U.S. plus Bahamas and have lived on the water so I have plenty expirience of the ocean and weather.
