Noonan Outdoors

37437 Red Top Road, Ponsford, MN 56575, United States

We will fish where you wish within 20 miles of Detroit Lakes, or Lake of the Woods . Your guide for the day is Captain Mark, allowing you to benefit from years of professional experience.

These waters are known for Sturgeon, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream. On the day of your trip you're likely to use light tackle.

Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You're welcome to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!

Capt. Mark operates a 22' Ranger, that can carry up to 2 adults comfortably and a couple kids.  Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures and bait as needed.

You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't leave home without sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

I began fishing before I could walk! Growing up in northern Minnesota, I was fortunate to live among outdoor enthusiasts. Everyone I knew would head to “the lake” year-round to enjoy the fascination that Mother Earth had to offer. 68 years later my passion for fishing has evolved. I am now at the age where I have dedicated myself to getting children involved with fishing and the great outdoors.
