Make that daydream about fishing in Penrose a reality, with WNC Fish Hunter!

Here you won't be far from backcountry waters, including some spots that only a local can show you.

Your guide specializes in fly fishing, and that's what you can expect on the day of your trip. You may also spin for your catch. Stratton will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. We’ll discuss your goals and create a plan to accommodate them.  Whether it’s Musky fishing from a jet boat or wading for Trout, it’s all fun!

Everyone in your group should buy a local fishing license ahead of time. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. Plan to dress in layers and appropriate footwear (if you aren't sure what that means, just ask). It's never a bad idea to bring bottled water, sunscreen, and sunglasses, no matter the weather.

Stratton will have some snacks and drinks for you. Children are welcome to come along. Remember to ask if child-sized life vests are available; otherwise, you'll have to bring your own.
