Islamorada has a fish with your name on it, so let Salty Bowline Charters help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Trentin Leary can tell you all about them. His vast knowledge of the waters will get you on fish!
Around here it's common to catch Mahi Mahi, Snook, Amberjack, Wahoo, Sail, Mackerel, Tuna, Grouper, Snapper, Jacks and many more if conditions are right.
On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. We also love throwing live bait and lures. With twin Mercury 300 HP Verado's running to a fishing spot is quick and easy and will keep you fishing. There is plenty of power to run to a new location and find the bite.
You'll be fishing aboard a beautiful 28' Caymas 281HB Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. This Caymas 281HB is even rigged with a Flir M-364C Thermal Camera, along with Simrad Halo 3004 Radar with open array to help find the birds and bait. For even more comfortability the boat is covered in gorgeous SeaDek.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's recommended to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you as well as a coolers of ice for your beverages. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles while on the boat. Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Salty Bowline Charters. 4 Hour Trip – Night Time Tarpon
Perfect fishing plan !!!!
Can't say what was better ... the boat, the catch or the sunset .... all of it AMAZING !!! Captain Trent went above and beyond to make our family fishing trip perfect. My son fulfilled his dream of catching a big tarpon (he caught two), and the setting couldn't be better. Not to mention the captain. It was almost a brotherhood experience for my teens. He taught my son technique and tricks, and they chatted as if they knew each other. The boat is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The sunset was unique! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Captain! We will definitely return to Islamorada and Salty Bowling !

4 Hour Trip – Night Time Tarpon
Tarpon!
What a top notch evening of fishing with Captain Trent ! I will start with the boat. It’s extremely comfortable , clean and provides plenty of space for everyone. That space really came in handy with the Tarpon we hooked ! Which leads me to the next part of the review - the Tarpon! We are all experienced fisherman , but have never hooked into Tarpon. It was an experience we will never forget. Captain Trent put us in the right spot and we landed two 50 plus pounders - in only a 4 hour trip ! This was one of the greatest days of fishing we have ever had. Captain Trent was an amazing host to myself and my kids. I highly recommend.

Trentin with SB Charters was very knowledgeable of the area and has a very nice boat and equipment/gear. He sets you up to catch many types of fish species including big tarpon and sharks. Great guide, boat, and experience for the days we fished with him! Will definitely use this charter again next time we are in the area!

Great family outing
We had a fantastic fishing trip with Captain Trent! He was awesome with the kids, answered all their questions with a big smile, and you can tell he truly loves what he does. Very accommodating, and we caught some awesome fish too! Made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Amazing Family Experience on the Salty Bowline!!!
Our family had an absolutely incredible afternoon on the water with Captain Trentin! The fishing was so good he stayed out extra just to keep the fun going. He wasn’t just a great captain—he was energetic, fun, and most importantly, an amazing teacher to our kids. They were completely locked in, learning and laughing the whole time, and at the end of the day, they said it was the best day of our entire month-long trip! The Caymas 281HB was perfect for our family. It’s super stable, so the kids could move around safely, and it gave us an up-close look at the Florida Keys’ beautiful waters and wildlife. One of the coolest parts? Getting to see the FLIR night vision system in action—seriously impressive. And cruising through Toilet Seat Cut was a fun little bonus that made the trip even more memorable. We’re already talking about when we can do this again. If you’re looking for an unforgettable fishing trip with a captain who truly makes the experience special, this is the one to book!
